Worked on Crawford Co. Census here at home. In at noon & worked at shop. New spark plugs for Ford. Paid $6,000 from Insurance & Pension money on Claridon Acres* mortgage. Balance $2,885. In tonight had Marjorie Deyson do Kathy & my hair. Stopped at Mary & Rocky’s. Rain. Warm.

[*Not yet referring to the property as Terradise, but adopting Ray’s calling it “The Acres”]

Milan Gorby here at 7:30 to work on Patio. Daddy out twice with technical help. Finished in at 5. 375 blocks! Poohed but went across river for hike. Harbinger of spring blooming. Kathy to basketball Tournament (Lions) her team won. TV & bed at 11:00. Mother & Daddy out evening.

Cleaned house. David still off. Price from Bill Hutchman [Lockwood Lumber] on window $220 – all thermopane ordered it. To Y at 6:30 & had nice chat with Ed & Marion Thomas* before the dinner (I was guest of Marge Bray) Ed good as usual.
