Cleaned workroom at shop. Planted dahlia, parsley, snap seed. Forsythia is out that I put in greenhouse 11 days ago. Bath with hot! water & bed 11:15.

Just barely kept ahead all day. Deyson, Dick Grimm, Emma Wade, Daddy & Mother & I working. About 50 deliveries. To Tournament games. Caledonia beat Green Camp. Hmoe at 10 after eating banana cream pie at Mothers that Kathy made.

Wednesday, February 13, 1957
To Columbus on school bus with David’s 6th grade to Ohio State Museum. Ed Thomas was guide for our group. Home at 3 & Daddy & Mother here. Put electric cable in greenhouse & sowed petunia & salvia seed. In with Kathy at 5:30 for first trumpet lesson from Irey Halt $1.50 – 1/2 hr. Worked on birds with Kathy evening.

Tuesday, February 12, 1957
Kids out at 2:00 for County Basketball Tournament. David got hair cut $1.50 & Kathy shopped so picked them up – made ollections. Kathy played in band. Took David to Scout Meeting. Terribly slippery.

Sunday, February 10, 1957
River bank full. Greenhouse AM. Bill & Erma Hutchman out PM & Kathy & I & they went to Bucyrus – Webb’s for pussy willows. Bill & Erma & Mike Leonard here for supper. Pizza pie & beans. Hadn’t planned for anyone. All left by 7:00. Bob Swisher gave Kathy box of Whitman chocolates for Valentines Day. Watched Julia Harris in “The Lark” on TV. Joan of Arc story.

Saturday, February 9, 1957
Took Kathy to school to go to Delaware to sing in District Festival at 7:30 then to Harry Hortons. Left David for them to go to scout movie. Finished Daum wedding. Had 5 wedding appointments. To Prospect with Daddy to see church. Did 20 colonials for Country Club. Mike Leonard home with us. David right to bed & TV’d with Mike. Kathy home 11:15.

Friday, February 8, 1957
Uptown at noon & got hose $2, corduroy jacket $5. Got late start on wedding for tomorrow. Kids to game with Waldo – we won. Worked in greenhouse. Planted coleus, sweetpeas, lupines.

Thursday, February 7, 1957
Harold Seiter here first thing & connected water heater. I ironed until 11 & then to bed with headache. Dug iris for Perry Shuster to take to Wilda Shuster [his daughter]. In at 7 – kids to “Westward Ho the Wagons” – me to Girl Scout leaders meeting & presented Juliette Lowe Birthplace fundraising plan. Visited with Perry & Hazel & home 11:00.

Wednesday, February 6, 1957
Car greased & oil change. Finished statements. Nusser (painter) out tonight & estimated $200 for 2 coats paint & putting up shutters. Finished draperies in rec room & helped David with rock collection to display for Scout work & Kathy with Biology.
