$200 worth of funeral work today & Mrs. Dugan to order wedding. Howard Howser over to give David trombone lesson. Here when we got home at 6:45. Mother & Daddy, Mary & Rocky to see our Smoky pictures & Howser back with his mother.

Sunday, August 18, 1957
Four weddings in 4 churches again. All without a hitch. Kathy, Mrs. Deyson & Daddy helping. Home at 5:00 & Milan Gorby had been here fishing. Watered – TV – ironed – popcorn. Bed about 11:00. ($250 profit for Saturday & Sunday on weddings.)

4 weddings in 4 churches today. Kathy helping & also working on FHA booth. I worked until 9:30 on tomorrow’s weddings.

Friday, August 16, 1957
Kathy & I working all day on Saturday wedding. Dick Grimm made up baskets for them. He’s leaving for vacation tomorrow.

Watered all morning. Dug around shrubs. Mr. Howser brought trombone over for David to try. Keith Brown & Dick Eicher out & boys spent afternoon in river. Eddie Steerman out evening & went through Butterfly collection & put moth balls in. Also to attic. Gave him some bugs.
