Set out 20 Lombardy Poplar trees at N.E. corner of Terradise. Also 7 gingko – 10 walnut – 10 butternut – 8 Ky. Coffee tree – Hale Haven Peach – Winesap apple – 2 weeping crab – lilacs – Negro – Charles X & Grevy.

Thursday April 11, 1968
David to shop late to help with deliveries & then asked me out to supper at Sveden House – His contract not being renewed at Pleasant! He is heartbroken.

Thursday, January 4, 1968
Drove myself to Columbus & left car at Engels & flew to New Orleans – via Charlotte & Atlanta. Had to wait at airport about an hour for Don & a friend. Back to Biloxi & Kathy & my grandson! He’s so skinny & red – & cute! I’m to be cook & dishwasher. I think Don was really glad to see me as he had been doing it.

Bird Count for Killdeer – I met John Teetor & Al Mogg at Chapel Hgts. [Memorial Gardens north of Marion]. Sunny & no wind but temp was -4! New people on count turned in impossible birds!

Don Decker called about 9 saying he had a son! David Devon Decker – Kathi fine but still dopey so he hadn’t talked to her.
