Sunday March 24th 1935
Wally got a letter from his mother telling him she was through doing anything for him. He showed it to me at Fireside hour. Tonight is probably the last time I’ll see Mr. and Mrs. Wiley. He’s leaving after next Sunday.
Walked home per usual.
Had dinner with Aunt May and Grandma Cleo makes me tired always harping on Wally when she doesn’t know him.

Got a letter from mother at work today that Allen’s would meet me at Lazarus at 2. So I met them. Had lots of fun shopping. Helen got shoes and a hat. Uncle Allen treated me to my first Banana Split. Got Daddy a little digger to use in the garden.

Uup at 5:45 and down to Columbus with the Shelton only about 2 minutes late.
The do-nothingest today I ever spent.
Listened to Lowell Thomas, Lum and Abner, Red Davis & Dangerous Paradise. Wally called and now I’ll mess around until 9:30 and go to bed.
George Hensel had some kind of fit yesterday and they took him to Mercy Hospital.
