Being shown open house by realtor. 5 rooms and bath $25,900! Ridiculous. Mother showed me where I was born in the southwest corner of the living room. Called back David and Kathi all is well again.

Called David. They We’re just back from 2 day trip to West Virginia and Kentucky. Had nice weather. But he’s disillusioned with black Bessie who has made 12 phone calls a day from Snoot ‘n Hoof. Really discouraged as it looks like she won’t get small business administration loan. I called Kathi about 10 p.m. and Bob was working on stopped up sewer. They are upset because of Bob’s working conditions. To Altrusa- was Hostess. Appealed to them to assume proofreading.

Rainy a.m. but stopped by 1:00 when Everharts and Garvericks arrived to cut wood. In no time Bill and Harry had trees cut and stacked. At 4 the girls got their five kids and back to the rec room for a wiener roast. Seems like old times. They left by 7. Watched “The Word” on TV.
