Shop very busy so I did both Brown House receptions and then to Presby for Edna. Ready to load for Tonya wedding at Grace Baptist when Mike said alternator out on truck. So I ran last delivery. Then loaded wedding and Prospect delivery and set-up Church. Tonya there and helped unload. At 6 I headed for Prospect with funeral pieces, but didn’t get back to church until just as they pronounced man and wife. To shop where I found a corsage had not been delivered. David and I in two cars to Christ Hospital by 7:15 so he could see Karen before she went for delivery. At 9:10 they brought Jedediah Thaddeus Meister Haldeman to the window for me to see. Born at 8:48. Later I scrubbed and could go to the nursery window where he had “expanded” considerably- all 8 pounds of him. Put him in isolation to guard against infection of fluid in lungs. Karen still in recovery. David and I had lunch at Campobello’s Italian and then to Meisters. Picked up Sarah and Josh and took them to Mount Airy to run around. Back to hospital at 4 and Karen in her room- sedated some and some pain. I left at 5:30 and home about 8:30. Called Mary.

Dave, Laura, Janice, Chris, Gail, Mary and I to FTD “Designing For Profit” Workshop in Columbus. Too gorgeous a day to be inside. But it’s good for the employees to hear what I tell them from someone else. Stopped at the Forum in Worthington for supper. Home at 7. Mother called to tell me the “Now and Then” picture in the Star was of the garage daddy owned with Ray Barnthouse on North Main Street.
