Monday, January 21, 1952
Colder, mostly clear. T.’s for lunch. Home tonite & TV, pomes, etc. 1st day SJ’s new semester, taking health under Miss. McAfee.

Sunday, January 20, 1952
Colder. T. & I took bacon & eggs to Camp Young. Cooked supper on fireplace! Fun. Home ab. 6 – 6:15. Stayed there till 11:00. Plans, western trip diary, etc. SJ at her ma’s for supper & all nite.

Saturday, January 19, 1952
Snow 1 1/2″ maybe, gone by noon. T.’s for lunch. Afterwork, not much till visiting Dad at Snyders Hotel. To T.’s – greenhouses & orchids, bug, eetc. Got Dad at 12. SJ TV’d.

Friday, January 18, 1952
Weather fair. Sinuses, headache. I had swell supper. Doze in bed. Home, etc. To T.’s later for a while.

Thursday, January 17, 1952
Warm! Day off & rained from 2 pm on, of & on. Pressed, cleaned, dabbed, “fauceted” etc. Pick bugs from Dale Downey. Phone out. S home about 3. New shoes, etc. Home tonite. Some verse work.

Wednesday, January 16, 1952
$142.79. Cloudy, rain at nite. SJ to her mom’s at noon (?). I got the 4×4’s and we went to Penn’s [?], Delaware for small supper & show after “Barefoot Mailman” – good. Home 9 or so, stopped here, kids at Mom’s as her house be late. [?]

Tuesday, January 15, 1952
No o’shoes even!! [illegible] Lunch at T.’s Got SJ after “school” – 3 exams today! Extension took their 2nd [illegible[ $10. Poems out, wrote Don Eff. To T.’s for 2 hrs. Hemmerly’s there too.

Monday, January 14, 1952
No ice!! warm too. SJ & I got groceries ($9) after school. Quick supper & home tonite. TV; opened box bugs from Don (C.gigantea, Poregonia & tritomia; A. australis & ([illegible]) back))

Sunday, January 13, 1952
Warm & foggy, Sandy home till 3, got T. for small ride. Supper there & stayed eve., fixin’ things, changing Den, David’s train, etc. Home 11:45. SJ stayed here. Could’ve gone with us or to her mom’s.

Friday, January 11, 1952
Laid off – sick? Tired / Played games, woodworkin’ all day. Slept some. SJ to mother’s tonite.
