Tonite, I went lumber yard, made stilts after supper for kids. Xmas. To Trella’s for midnite lunch after helping stuff turkey.

“Dreamed” Caledonia place all a.m. Trella (with terrific headache) picked me up noon for lunch, we called Mrs. Thomas & promised her $500 in a day or two. Home tonite, Sandy & I. Some pomes, Talked Vernon Heights School. Y-Teens at 4:15. bugs & pomes.

Cleaned all day – basement (scrubber), furnace, kitchen & bathroom. PM, Trella & I to Caledonia to talk Gander Hill [sic?] – loan would be okay (we’d bothe told Mrs. Thomas okay we’d take it a.m.) Ran out of gas near Claridon. Found, in Mt. Gilead, phone may be had. Checked on fire protection in Caledonia. Lush supper at Trella’s & took kids to Palace.

Slept 10 1/4 hrs last nite – human again today! Letters, pomes, Xmas shoppin’ (mailed 2 orders eve) & Xmas card [illegible], & Sunday School a.m. (Solent again.) To Trella’s tonite. Nice evening.

Warmer. Some mail – Xmas advertising etc. 49″ over. Dead tonite – bed 8:15. Trella & I lunched at Thomas spot near ‘Doney.

Cold, blustery. Trella’s for lunch, letter from Clara (nice) & one from Pollution Abatement Dept. (State) favorable on Caledonia Thomas plot!! Home tonite, tired – 3′ – 3″ overtime!

Day off & I played!! Pomes, bug boxes & driftwood bases. Eve, Trella & I to A&P for groceries & cheese feed at her house. Home 11:00.

Trella’s for lunch. Rain (and nite.) To see Smithson about $400 per acre land, & to Hol. Hill till late.

Trella’s for lunch & we drove past Smithson’s acres – ?? We like north end too. Tonite she came, got bases and driftwood & take to Columbus tonite, etc. supper with me. I visited Maryworth’s 3 hrs! Nice time. Sandra Jean at mom’s again.

To Trella’s for lunch. Shirtsleves after dinner! Sandra Jean at her mom’s. I stayed – washed driftwood, wrote Catherine, The News, pomes, bugs all evening.
