Easter. Called Sandra Jean. She decided to stay there tody. Pomes early am. To 954 movin’ dirt, & fading in Irises till 1:00. Dinner, & took off for Acres – planted things, dubbed, hiked, Hazel & Kike, Paris & Helen, Souliers all visited. Home tonite.

Saturday, April 4, 1953
8 hrs 45″! Then went shop, after cleaning up, & helped a bit, including taking Dad & Cora a plant. Supper here, & Trella & I back awhile. Home & to bed about 10:30?

Friday, April 3, 1953
Big day for Trella. I got her & kids, & took us to Fooh Long for supper; helped at shop hr. or so. Got kids home, pomed & bed early-10 or so. (Trella still working), I called Jeannie=alone, mom workin’. Birthday – 17! Id sent her film, letter, card.

Thursday, April 2, 1953
Cool but nice. “Ate” Crispin’s, haircut at noon. (Helper too!) Worked on pile ‘o dirt, Westwood tonite. Trella got supper, to shop – I dubbed here, walked shop 9; back at 10.

($150.62) (1 hr o’time) Nice, but “Marchy” in spots. To Westwood evening, barrowing load ‘o dirt(!) from pile in front. Trella starting Easter tonite. I dubbed stamps & pomes here. (We lunched, noon at Acres)

Tuesday, March 31, 1953
Spring-like again! Nice. Ate lunch at Acres-watching grader dig hole, etc. Home tonite & pomes, letters, morgue, etc.

Monday, March 30, 1953
Day off. To bank, got loan $10,000 set; shopped (some). P.M. to Acres & watched ’em grade off hill, talked Fetter about culvert, etc. We got Sandy & 3:10, shopped, got her birthday underclothes, supper, popcorn, TV & Pierre here, & took her home 10:00. Nice visit.

Cold. 26 degrees or so am?? Trella had wedding, I dubbed pomes & pictures- went to shop to see Vivian. Trella & I ride late pm. Acres & Delaware Dam. Home tonite.

Saturday, March 28, 1953
A little warmer. Milk & Graham Cracker lunch at Westwood. Tonite, Trella & I took off for Galion. Visited Hazel Chase. They started grading at Acres today!

Friday, March 27, 1953
Also cold. Loren & Mary Baker here 9-11 for film & stills of Florida. Family too. Trella & I worked on iris “sill” order earlier. Words tonite…
