Hot and dry & (nice) still. Ray Hemmerly glazed a.m., I tonite untile 6; part of end remaining. To see Sandy right after later supper; we sat her room and talked. She’s getting acclimated to office & PEOPLE. Good. Trella to garden club p.m. Tried out used cars.

($148.34) Letter from Sandy tonite; answered it. We glazed on greenhouse till 9! Hemmerly’s out. Swell weather- but rainless again – is bad.

Off day. Worked on greenhouse (partly glazed) with Ray Hemmerly all day- & he set washer for us too! Trella & I burned log-track tonite & glazed one side greenhouse. Watch Kraft Theatre on TV.

Sick with sinuses, but worked. Trella headache some tonite, too. She shopped, & “businessed” all over p.m. Fireplace (living room) accessories from Sears! Trella made in living room drapes; I put trap in basement, hung back curtain rods, & worked on shelves, bedroom.

[shorthand], warm day. Chev. stopped; walked 2 mi. (busted hose), reported Nick, Christ fixed. Ray Hemmerly & I on greenhouse all day- ready to glaze her. Tonite, he & I brought last truckload from 552, including Bendix, Trella to Girl Scout Council.

Trella did big weddings; I plowed front for lawn; assembled harrow (disc) & saw, & cut gobs firewood, etc. Painted on greenhouse a little, & tonite dubbed at bedroom shelves (den!). Bed 10:30.

Sa-well day! Poohed, tho- 4 1/2 hrs hay. Dinner at Mary & Harold’s with Trella. They in Florida. Tonite, we painted on greenhouse- me to 9:30. Trella sold wedding in town; worked all day of others.

Nice again. After work (felt good for a change, too!) I was picked up by Bill Hutchman, cleaned up & changed there; Trella came in, we ate, went Columbus Home Parade- nice evening. All arround. Bed 12:30!

No good- this cold, I suppose. Sell day, tho, warm. Ray Hemmerly working on greenhouse again- near ready for glass! I dubbed at it awhile too; & we (she mostly) planted bank to mum,s, geraniums. Tried to call Sandra Jean 5 points, but closed up. Pomes & bed.

Froze ICE on windshield overnite! (Cat out, of course). Trella got me at noon (her dad’d worked a.m. on greenhouse, Roger* on grading) & we ate 229. Tonite, shopping, firescreen (ordered ’em); drapes for living room, etc. & both headaches tonite.
