Monday, March 1, 1954
Oboy! Day off & it snowed about 6-7″ last nite & tonday!! Seed flats, morgue, art, etc. Trella hadda go in, after I shoveled her out a.m. Kids out at noon. Hemmerly’s (& Clarence*) out p.m. with flats for greenhouse.

Sunday, February 28, 1954
Colder – snowing great gusts at bedtime. Pe-daddled – morgus, etc. Nickels here p.m. (Trella wedding – home 4:00). Did entire Ahrens cartoon tonite, & morgued etc. Trella TV’d mostly. Both happy, tho.

Saturday, February 27, 1954
Nice day to walk. 48 degrees ? Napped after work. After supper, we finished ordering seeds & check this time was for $15.76. Art-ed some.

Friday, February 26, 1954
“Bad Day” – forgetfulness, errors. Got Driver’s License (11 days late) after work, saw Sandy at office a minute. Drew some tonite. Trella ironed.

Thursday, February 25, 1954
Home at “noon” – finished. Napped, worked poems. Worked in greenhouse. After work & sowed campanula & digitalis. Tonite, Trella ironed & I talked Mid-Century Club at Women’s Club Home – poetry.

Wednesday, February 24, 1954
Some more mail: somebody else carried mags when I’d been, p.m., too! We killed mole tonite, got flats ready for planting. Rocky & Mary here after supper. Florence & Walt’s girl* born today… (On radio at noot, Trella heard it.)

Tuesday, February 23, 1954
Some mail, magazines mostly, help lots. Trella brough lunch in. After work, took Paris’ tools back – painting – & saw Dad 10 minutes. Grocery & home. Tried Para crystals in mole tonite. Fish dinner. Home – Trella to make talk.

Monday, February 22, 1954
We cleaned garage but good. Took most o’ day. Greenhouse but little, outside a bit too, clearing brush, for nice day. Trella in tonite – Scout Council. I drew & wrote a letter.

Sunday, February 21, 1954
Slept last night! Trella wedding; I morgued, washing on new files. P.M. took Sandy nice ride (she drove); then Trella, kids & I to Mary & Loren Baker’s near Forest, supper too! Home 10:30.

Saturday, February 20, 1954
Some rain a.m. & evening. Some basement work (shop) a.m. Then p.m., Ralph Boger & chainsaw & about 4 more neighbors & I cleared for phone. Dead tonite. Trella in, back with headache. Bed 6:30. Asleep (read) 8!
