Slept until 10:15 – potted up geraniums in “porch box” for cemetery – mixed pot for Mary’s porch – hanging basket of purple wave petunias – peppers & tomatoes in patio pots.

Reading “Everyman’s Garden” edited by Rosemary Viley that I got in England in 1983 – using “Atlas of National Trust Properties” to locate them throughout England – studied English wildflower book to bone up for trip.

Transcribed Civil War letters – mowed upper lawn.

Watched Mark Russell & Terry Waldo on Public Television.
Talked to Ruth Carhart – told her of my fascination with Lucius Carhart letters & plan to fix a notebook for her with the transcriptions – she will be at Riverside next week for hip replace of a hip replace.
