Picked Bill Hutchman at 8:30 & headed north (section 4) to do our area of the Killdeer Plains Christmas Bird Count. Mild weather – not many birds except starlings – No horned larks – No birds at Starners feeder when we stopped there, but good cookies. 15 species. Erma had chili, salad, cheese spread and chocolate cake for us. Took our report & $10 for both of us that Bill paid – He said I had been driving for umteen years! –
