Met Pat & Chuck Winn at Hemmerly’s parking lot at 7:30 & was at Carrousel Inn in Worthington by 8:30. Met Julie OVerton – age 40? – intense, effervescent. Bus couldn’t go up hill so changed to a better one at New Stanton. Enjoyed the scenery from bus vantage. Into Washington along W. Bank of Potomac across Teddy Roosevelt Bridge & into History – Lincoln & Jefferson Memorials – Pennsylvania & Constitution Ave. Harrington Hotel a let down but adequate & convenient. Trip was $200 so what coould you expect.
The “street people” in the cafeteria was quite a shock but the prices even more so – coffey 20 cents! Bed early.
