Trella Hemmerly – 1977-05-01

Sunday May 1st 1977 temperature 75 sunny shower about 7 p.m.
Bill Hutchman out birding. Plenty of goldfinches but not much else. Over to Mrs. Waits woods- trilliums solid. Then to Kaelber woods to show him the showy Orchis. And someone had dug everyone!
Set out petunias and pansies. Several people here for belated Open Garden, including Cecil Haycook.
To Neva and Jim Harris’ for a party for Glen and Mildred Patton here from Rockford, Illinois where Glen is a Baptist Minister. Nice time. BBB still quiet. Toad’s singing tonight again. Saw no eggs from other time.
