Trella Hemmerly – 1977-01-23

Sunday January 23rd 1977
Temperature 25 Heatwave!
Cleaned house and changed bed. In at 12 to call at funeral home for Mrs. Starner. Rosina there and looking plucky. Bernard Brooks worried about her. Cheryl and family- Laura and Matt out for sledding. Snow like powder about 15 in deep. I shoveled off pond so fish can see. Fed them sloppy joes cake and carrots and celery. (Knapps, not fish!) They all just left when Karen, David and Sarah came from rehearsal of Mark Milner Band. Worked on script for “Marion 1976” movie and watched the first night of “Roots”- story of a black family from Africa in 1752 to today.
Governor Rhodes call for homes to be set at 65° day in 55° night and business is the same.
