Took Karen & David to “This is the Place” Monument but Karen was bored. Then they went to Ladd’s rehearsal while Kathi, kids & I ate. Then to gas at Salt Lake & beyond. Decided to drive to Nevada – 110 miles! though that barren salt flat area. Weather OK as we started (with a full gas tank) but in some areas was foggy & couldn’t see sides of road. Really a wierd ride. Stopped at Bonneville Flats area. Visited casino at Wendover – going full blast on Sunday afternoon. Stopped at cafe & home in the dark. Lights of Salt Lake & Ogden interesting.
