Moved most of plants from window seats outdoors – to terrain north of Sunroom. Helped daddy plant seed – 10 rows of zinnias – 6 kinds & cabbage & Kohl rabbi [sic} Then he hauld in sand for salpigtossis. One row of tulips – planted last year – has over 1,000 buds & blooms. Way too thick of course.
Mary home on train.
Had first strawberry short cake. Kathy haws finally learned to relish it. No new breaking out on her & the spots are scabbous.
Worked in yard after supper. Planted creeping zinnia & canary bird flower east of Mary’s porch & cupid zinnias on front ot terrace.
Ray called – Had idea I was mad because of Wed. night. I told him I was just hurt.
Field Day for Scouts called off for tomorrow. But Grace S. didn’t call to tell me – was supposed to take some of her Scouts.
