Trella Hemmerly – 1947-05-15

Washed & set my hair. Did a washing – finished painting bedroom – second coat that is. Worked on talk for tonight. Am using 15 pressed specimens as a test & then will base talk on them.

Wally took David to het his hair cut. Tulips are in full bloom. “Perfecta” a red, yellow & green lacinated parrot burst open today & it is gorgeous. Made me a corsage of it to wear on aqua suit to talk.

Ate supper at mother’s. Just didn’t see how I could get that in too.

Then to garden to se out tomatoe plants. Put 100 under hot caps. Some of them are over a foot high. Daddy & Walt finished putting out total of 250.

Mrs. Eicher & Mrs. Schlintz picked me up for Sun & Shade Garden Club meeting at Bernie Petrich (Mrs. Peterson’s daughter). Talk went very well – had lots of questions. Home at 11:30.
