Still catching up on sleep. Didn’t wake up till 9:30. Kids were up & playing before me. Finished hemming the rose velveteen dress I made Kathy for Christmas.

After lunch dishes were done I was in a versification mood. Put yesterday’s output in notebook & then inspired by 2 Ray had written in July ’45 (clipping of Citizen printing fell out of notebook), I started in on some nature verses – My first on that subject. “January Morning” & “I Hate These Most” and I decided to send them to the Citizen also. Called Ray & he was very encouraging – and glad I was off my usual track.

Played with the kids awhile – bath & hair wash for them – songs & to bed about 9:30 & then finished paper work on verses & have them ready to send to Weekly – Citizen.
Popcoren – bath & to bed at 12.
