Up at 8:00 & at the computer & finally got MCHS labels printed out using Fox Central. Called David & told him I would use the committees & activities WordStar file & not bother to change it in Ventura.
In to HH at 12:30 to copy 500 Newsletters on copier. Used volunteers to fold & Mary also came in to help. Mary &* I finished up about 6 (others left) – went to Wendy’s for chili & back to HH at 7:00 to lead Kappa tour. Gary & Denise Iams asked me to do it. Dorothy Strawser Klehm spoke on Marion Schools since 1828 – was my 5th grade teacher & there were 49 in the class. Home at 9:30 exhausted. Called Norm to tell him we needed $25 more at P.O. to cover mailing of Newsletters – and he objected! & I spent the whole afternoon running Hallmarks to save us $75-

42-68 Sunny PM
Worked on Newsletter & planted daylilies that Dr. Ginn had discarded. Grass coming up in corner bed by mailbox. That’s what I get for letting Brenda (Ray Foertsch’s helper) finish planting it for me. Grass in areas where crabapples were removed is coming up nicely.
Mowed upper areas with push mower.

Just ready to work on Newsletter when Mary called wanting to go to Columbus to see Fantasia! – 50th anniversary revival. I had never seen it but remember Rocky’s appreciation of it. Music reproduction so true – Lost myself in the imagery – tongue-in-cheek interpretation of ballet – story of the geology of the earth – all accompanied by Bach, Beethoven & Stravinsky – Tchaikovsky etc.
Shopped for books – Thom’s “Panther in the Sky” (Tecumseh) & Geo Rogers Clark. Ate at Bob Evans. Stopped at Arnell Reins new home near Scioto River in new (expensive) area.
Stopped at Hemmerly’s & copied OAHSM Annual Meeting program to distribute to Board.
Dave called while I was gone.
