MCHS 10-4:40 6 ½ hrs 20 miles
Continued work on MCHS membership base – entering payments made since Jan 1. Got labels files ready to run when David tells me how to do it. Easier than going into Wordstar to reset printer.
Took Howard to Caledonia – Reece’s. Asked him if there was anything he wanted to do with his money – Wants to pay off rest of HH Purchase Fund!
Kristi called to tell me she won the John Leviton award from her PME School – given to best all round performance by a student.
Met 2 Mary’s at Turroff’s for dinner.

Gave David $2,000 to pay his past due house payments & $50 rebate on my laser printer.

Printing Huber Newsletter & Mailing – 10:00-1:00 3 hrs.
EHMA – 20 miles
MCHS 20 miles 4 hrs
In at 10:30 to HH with Huber Newsletter. Ran it on Sharp Copier – Dorothy Young helped fold it. Took it to Fahey Bank to mail. Back home & got the news release ready for Marion Star. Also worked on copy for an Award of Appreciation for Willis Nye in founding the Edward Huber Memorial Association.
Back to HH at 6:30 for called Exec Comm meeting before Board Meeting. Presented to them the idea of creating another function. Transformation – & transferring to it the duties of what is now called the Building and Grounds committee under the operating function. When we were working on committee budgets it became clear to me that the Transformation Fund should not function under the Operations – an entirely different budget.

Huber Newsletter 10-6:30, 8-10 10 ½ hrs
All day creating Huber Newsletter. All newscasts concerned with January 15 deadline for Saddam Huessin [sic] to withdraw his Iraqi troops from Kuwait – War is imminent – Peace group protesting, church groups praying & prospects for peace grow dimmer.
George Voinivich inaugurated as 65th governor of Ohio along with Mike Dewine as Lt. Gov. Education top priority.
Rec’d check for $1,500 from Dave Decker to repay the $2,000 loan I made to him to cover his financial responsibility needs while purchasing house. He used $500 of it for ticket to come home for Walt’s funeral. His death cost me over $1,000 getting the family here for the funeral.
Watched beautiful Nature Program on channel 34 on Color Blue in Nature.
So happy to have my new Sony that shows the colors so true.
Forgot to go to Harding Hi Cafeteria to judge PTA Arts program.
