Royce here to clean – Her daughter has set July 25 ‘92 for her wedding here.
Sore throat, chest congestion & no pep. Stopped at Nu-Supply & paid balance of $1,855 on bath fixtures & tile. Makes total cost $4,000. To Dr. Winger to check hearing aid. Was plugged in an area I didn’t know about. Took storm window to Baldaufs to have spline replace. Met Mary at Perkins & Mary J & Gladys already there so ate with them. Gladys has cornea implant tomorrow. Mentioned I got 2 awards at OAHSM Annual Meeting,. No one even asked why – or congratulated me.
Picked up slides at Meijers.

Monday, November 11, 1991
David up early working on his Terrapro program on my computer. He went in to Boyds to update theirs & the family went with him.
Gave David a check for $1,000 for Jed’s French Horn.

Sunday, November 10, 1991
Disastrous breakfast. Some of the sausage was stale & I cooked the homemade syrup too long. Whole family worked cleaning up the woods. David cleaned ou the eaves & Jed emptied bag of leaves.
Mary out but didn’t stay long as she was getting a cold.

Saturday, November 9, 1991
Good sessions all day. Nice to just attend & not have responsibility except to present award to Pat Cummins on her retirement as pres. Certificates also given to all those retiring from board. Me included after 10 yrs./
Got home about 5 – Haldemans came in about 10. Had been in Cols for Desert Storm Parade – walnut Hills Band Marched including Josh on trombone & Sarah on flute. They all went right to bed.

Friday, November 8, 1991
Gave Brammel check for his work on bathroom. He’s finishing up today.
To Cols for Annual Meeting of OAHSM – got hair cut & set after Brammel jump started my car. Overhead light was on. Got to Cols about 12:30. Radisson just down road from Engel’s Greenhouse. Several sessions with all participants together. Rooming with Barbara Shepherd & Mary Anne Peters . Fun people. My Silent Auction contributions of old magazines & framed Packard Auto ad brought in about $25., but no hits on silk arrangements & clown. Sat with Dr George Knapper, Jim Strider & JD Britton for Banquet & Knepper, Morgan & I received awards from AASLH & OAHSM – reaffirming one rec’d at Dearborn in August. Pam Bennett AASLH pres a very boring speaker & spoke for 1 hr 45 minbutes while we froze under the cold air return.
So glad to have Helen Kaufman & Eula Rhoades come down for the presentation.
Bill Nolan & I had a tete-a-tete & reminisced after the dinner.

Wrote letter to Jack Telfer about feeling against walls in lobby for Exe Committee to consider – then found he will be at meeting today! So just passed copies to Exec Com.
In at 10:30 & picked up another laid of leaves at Cottrells before going to Dr. Cloran for tooth cleaning. Then to KMart to pick up 2 OSU Marching Band Tickets for price of 1 – $12.50. Bought sweatshirt & pants for Howard. Mine felt so good to sleep in last night. Got a cute moving-singing doll for Suzannah [sic] for C’mas. Back to HH to meet Lyle Patton to pick up his $600 check.
Home & wrote Bd Meeting Notice for Hemmerly’s next Monday & made copies to send to kathi & David. To Caledonia to vote for Fairground levity – and not much else.
Voted for Jake Reterrer for Twp. Trustee.. Lovely fall arrangement from Hemmerly’s for my birthday. Delivered while I was gone. Back in to Marion for MCHS Exec Committee meeting – uproar over Gary Somerlot not accepting Treasurer’s nomination. Norm says he promised Donna Ruth to not do it again.
Tuned in to WMRN too late to get election returns.
Me Mary at Wendy’s for chili. She had great time with Burtch Girls in Indianapolis.
