Let Chessie out & finally able to rescue her from the hemlock tree – perfect weather 78°.
Fertilized everything – hose end misture. Mary out – reminded her that the duplex is really not larger than her apt – more rooms but smaller. She wants a downstairs apt like she has upstairs. Margaret Cottrell called – needs July, Aug etc membership labels so that took an hour I couldn’t spare.
To HH – called Johanna Heisel Heisel Harvey adopted gal seeking “roots” – Judge Thomas Jenkins says the court records are sealed.
Called Marty at Windmill – he says ship the 100 books back! (and Howard agrees I don’t – it’s only transcriptions that are switched).
To AmeriCare with the Orloff Norton Civil War letters books – left the copies & transcriptions notebook with her [Ruth Carhart] – she mentioned she would be glad to have originals at Heritage Hall! (I thot Richard, son-in-law, wanted them).
Shopped at Meijer for VHS-C tape – Advantax film, chocolate sampler & Yardley Soap. Harvested my beet crop for supper.

Took videos
In to Mary’s for visit as I was out of milk & bananas – down to the duplex S of her on Jamesway to meet landlord Mrs. Winegartner. Lovely but Mary says “too big” – has 2 baths $625 a month – then we looked at the duplex under construction & it’s even bigger – $725 a month.
To HH & met with Jane on straightening out the Sage of Salt Rock finances – I finally just said OK – but it’s in publishing & should be in RC! – had been on new accessions.
Howard Mitchell in with the 2nd printing of his book from Windmill Pub – & we distributed about 30 of the 100 – then he called me later, said two pages are in the wrong place & will have to pick up the ones I took to Maloney Books.
Supper with 2 Marys at Something Good. Mary J’s treat – my send-off gift – & thank Mary H for hauling her around.
Shopped at Hills for a “fanny pack” (purse that you wear around waist). & more camcorder film.

At the request of Beck Myers Swooper, Jane & I went to Charlton’s (sign in yard – “for sale”) where she had selected books, photos & files she thought MCHS would want – fantastic material – orig phots that Wiants had postcards made from, 5 or 6 copies of the Judge Anderson letters books & about 35 copies of “Sesquicentennal History” – filled the back of my station wagon.
Took to Archives office to accession.
JIane showed me the new “Past Perfect” museum records management program.
