Wednesday November 27th 1935
Daddy and Mary came to my room for me about 6:30. Brought my lamp, pillow, blanket, narcissist. Got home about 8:00.
Wally went back to work at Silk Mill last night.
Messed around this evening- had a bath- bed about 11:00.
Grandma is staying at our house so Wally must give his room up to her and sleep on the davenport when I’m home. Some life for a paying guest, huh?

Letter from Wally in half an envelope what next?
Wrote Mary Johnson on green paper with red ink- talked colors all through. A little nonsense may do her good.
Bill has dictated more letters in the last week proportionally than all the time I’ve been there.
Finished getting my things ready. I practically move when Daddy comes down. But he’s moving me in too.
Aunt May called. I hadn’t talked to her since the weekend we were there and she talked so mean about Wally.

Friday November 22nd 1935
Wally called at the office about 3:00 so I’ll be staying. He and Louis met me after work and walked to Broad and Third with me.
Got a letter from mother. She said Mary’s baby cried and I happened to mention it to Davis’s. Mrs. said 7 month old babies didn’t cry. So for once in my life I talked back and did it make her mad!
Wally came down about eight. Laura showed him for wedding presents.

Mary’s baby was born yesterday afternoon. Wally sent me a special. Baby weighs 5 lb and is in the incubator.
From Wally’s letter I don’t know whether he is coming down or I’m going home. Wrote him and mailed It about 7:00.
Listened to Rudy Vallee program.
Grandma is staying at our house now and Aunt Lillie’s are coming for the weekend so well he will probably come down to avoid the rush.

Finished letter to Wally this noon. Told him I would like to stay down here this weekend. I hope he agrees.
They fixed my typewriter so it doesn’t stick. Simple if you know how.
Bill had me make up copies filled out of all the forms we use. He thinks it’s to show the big shots how good we are. He is, I mean.
I’m putting green down side of strips now. Bath- Bed 9:30
