Monday February 16th 1931
Went to Shirk’s after school to get her copy of “The Idylls of the King”. Mr. Shirk has been very nice, Mrs. Shirk has a cold and Doris’ ear gathered and broke. Tough all at once.
Mrs. Strine is isn’t doing to going to renew her magazine but Leonard will.

Sunday February 15th 1931
Stayed for church in the morning and I thought it never would end.
Took a ride in afternoon and went to B.Y.P.U. in evening. Doris Fogelson led well.

Got a finger wave from Mrs. White. Pretty.
Stanley sent me a darling box of chocolates.
B.Y.P.U. party at Ray Augustine’s in the evening. No better than usual but Helen Wood and I had a good time trying on coats and hats, especially the boys.

After school mother and I bought me a dress at Kline’s. Went to prospect for the Guild Rally for the Convention. Had a potluck supper. Program very good.
The janitor took Helen Wood, Marjorie M. and me through their school building. Lots nicer than Harding’s.

G.R. meeting. Guess that’s all. Caesar is getting harder all the time. I just can’t get it. Too bad.

We’re having Indian clubs in gym. All my free periods anymore go for practicing. They’re hard but rather fun after you get on to them.

I felt very badly and worse because I couldn’t go to Columbus with Daddy and Mother. Mary stayed home with me and we played cards a little and had corn and I caught up on my reading.
Bob Shuster is in town. I don’t know whether he is going to stay or not.
