Got the bright idea of having a picnic. Helped Daddy shine the car & at about 4:30 started with food & Pauline & Irene. Ran up & down hills, picked violets, saw snakes & neverything [sic]. Stayed at Pauline’s all night. She sure has a case on Glenn.

B.Y.P.U. Party. Mulligan stew featured. Pauline terribly thrilled cause Glenn came home with Stanley & I & in the meantime took her home.
Funny to see Helen Wood gape when Glenn didn’t ask to take her home.

We watch our garden “like a hawk”. It has become a joke with the neighbors but with onions almost big enough to eat, radishes & lettuce doing fine, sweet peas coming up who can leave them alone.

Mother had terrible toothaches & while she was having it pulled I baked a cake & made jello in prep of Fanny and Floy. Stanley took me to the Palace. We were to meet Glenn & Helen but [illegible]

G.R. Sweetheart Halo party. Such getups as I never saw.
Went with Florence Schilb. We ran around with an Iris Roberts. Seemed very nice.
Stanley came after me.

G.R. Meeting with a really good guest speaker. Just full of ideas that seem probable.
