Bob E and wearing my new blue dress. Louis and I had a fight on the way to school. I wrote Rayl Conyers a note and asked him to go to the G.R. party. Louis read it over his shoulder in French class. Rayl seemed to think Louis should go with me. When I got home from having Mrs. Bodman look at these things on my head he and Bob Haldeman had been here and he is going. Mary came down and she is taken. Mary got a pink dress for tonight.

Went to B.Y Rally at Trinity and sat with Bernard Brooks but missed a speech he gave because I had to figure up the points. So he brought me home to tell me about it. Helen stayed all night. Bernards and I danced and then as he calls it had a “tete a tete” in the front room. He has persuaded me to ask Rayl Conyers to the G.R. dance party. Mary got a card from B. from Iowa.

And Louis calmly states that he isn’t going to the G.R. party. I went to Mary Burtch’s and we went to the Eistefodd* tryouts & Central & then up to Islay’s. She got a letter from Bob’s sister asking her to give them any information she might receive. Stayed there all night.

From all reports Bob has run away and gone to Wyoming. Louis had a job for Saturday and Sunday nights so that explains that but he don’t know whether he can go Saturday or not. We had a committee meeting for an hour trying to decide place for Library Coun. Picnic. Mary came down for supper and we just talked.

Saturday April 15th 1933.
Got a new pair of plain black kid pumps. And some hose.
My head has big bumps all over it. Daddy got his two Mary’s and me great big Easter eggs and mother got us a bunch of stuff. Mary Burtch came down about 6 and we giggled and had a good time. She says she likes my permanent but it hurts.

I made NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY. Miss Brown told me third period to go to room 10 after school. I supposed that was it and Louis told me at noon that it was. Mary made it too. I went to Mrs. Bodner’s at 4 for my permanent and she pulled so hard it made me sick. I stayed at Helen Sheneman’s all night.

We’ve been going to the Chapel Services every morning. And they haven’t announced the National Honor Society yet. I’ve got about all my typing done but it’s still a mess. Got nearly all my history report finished.

Made 50 words per minute in a typing test. Mary Burtch came home with me and did we ever write a class song- for the waste basket. We went over to Aunt Ruth’s this evening and I made a date for Friday at 4 for a permanent. Mrs. Bodner. Nice again but some chilly. Helen and I traded jackets.
