Almost had a fight with Walt after school. Then went to church and typed on paper material. Walt came down there to get me in the evening while we were mimeographing [shorthand].

Monday October 2nd 1933
Walt’s birthday. Got him a tie, knife and handkerchief after school. Then came home and got supper for him. Breaded pork chops, sweet potatoes, scalloped corn, pumpkin pie, and whipped cream and a salad. He sure is a sweet kid.
