Friday September 2nd 1932
Went to “Nancy Lee” with Mary Sheneman to get her hair fixed. Had our Coke there. Laura and Mary Sheneman had dinner at Mrs. Mack’s and we had ours here. Alice Marie went swimming with us in Cumberland. Had loads of fun jumping off. Certainly was wonderful but for the sand Joe put in our shoes. Took ride in eve.

Alice Marie MacMillan came over after dinner and I went calling with her on Franie and could she play the piano and couldn’t her brother play the violin. For the evening Alice asked me to go on a swimming party to Bluebird. But 19 in the back of a big truck. Loads of fun. Too cold for me to swim though.
