MCHS Newsletter 9:30-4:30 10-11 8 hrs.
28-30 degrees – miserable – freezing rain.
Breakfast with David- Everything covered with ice & didn’t get above 32 all day – what a mess to deliver in. worked all day on Hallmarks – MCHS Newsletter. Had set water temp on furnace down to 140 degrees, but had to put back up to 165 to get temp above 60

Kathi called before she went to work at Reno Flower Shop – She’s getting $6 an hour – expert on sales, phone, FTD Computer, etc. She’s glad she can wear tennis shoes there instead of heels like in Alaska.
Supper from last night’s leftovers. wonder how the shop got along. If all of Wanda’s routing is as inefficient as what she did for David yesterday they aren’t through yet – 8 PM!

Called Wayne at Caledonia BancOhio & he will get list from Federal Reserve to get values on Howard’s bonds. Listed them by date & # & printed out info – Put with bonds in my fireproof safe. Told Howard he should get another box at Caledonia & I can sign as deputy so I can get money for him if he needs it.

Worked on paying bills & gathering & entering income tax info on sheet sent by Holbrook. Then transferred it to SwiftTax – Can do everything but sales of property & cashing of money market.

Picked Mary up to go to Richwood. KLeft her at Ruby Thompson’s while I went to school to talk to 75 fourth graders about prairies. Took bunches of prairie grass & a few forb stems. Very attentive & all carefully carried home the “pieces of a prairie”. Visited with Ruby before coming back to Marion – Atge at Wendy’s – home.

42-48 degrees cloudy misty
Took Howard to Banc Ohio Plaza branch. Met Tom Gay there for him to “drill out” his safety deposit box (Dick Johnson at his boxes selecting cases of fountain pens to take to California show – nice visit). Howard could not remember that he had a box there & didn’t know what was in it. I discovered it last year when I did his income tax & saw a charge on his bank statement for safety deposit box rental.
Stopped at Boy Scout headquarters to leave Museum books & when I got back in the car he had opened one of the envelopes. It had 10 $1,000 series E Savings Bonds purchased in June 1980. He said he wanted me to have them. I told him I would take them, deposit in a money market account with both our names so I could use them if he needed care. When we got home I put Bonds – dating from 1968!
Royce here to clean- Mary out & we verified her income tax return via SwiftTax.
Fun – In to Harding cafeteria to judge literature entries for PTA Cultural Arts program- Some very creative interpretations on “Where Does the Sky End” – Winners to State- Finals in Washington.
