Went to the Main St. Opening with Tody & family’s. Some excitement.

Monday November 24 1930
The Woolworth building burnt down. Not the one in N.Y. but the one on Center St. Now I can’t do my Xmas shopping.
Mother says the fire was tomorrow.

Sunday November 23 1930
Went to Aunt Lillie’s. They just moved & we unpacked dishes. She surely has some wonderful ones.
Went to B.Y.P.U.

Saturday November 22 1930
Got up before the others. Mrs. Tucker had a good breakfast. I went up to see Dr. Rhu again but no luck. Go back Mon.
Refused invite to go to show with Stanly but we were supposed to go to Uncle John’s but didn’t go.

Friday November 21 1930
Mr. Jackson talked to debaters.
Mother dis-consented & then consented for me to go to Anna’s. We started our Marathon at 8:45 & had 15 min rest pd. Every 2 hrs. Irene Ziegler & Flora Evans dropped out first. I danced 6 hrs & dropped out. Erma next & Mary & Anna won. They danced 6 ½ hrs. Had eats all evening.

Thursday November 20 1930
Anne Tucker asked me to come over to her house to morrow nite. Some of the kids are having sort of a Marathon.
Paid my G.R. dues & the topic was Ettiquette.
Mrs. Messinger & Robert were over in the evening.

Wednesday November 19 1930
Received from the Crowell Co. copies of Anna Seitz orders. Sorted & routed them after supper. Gave the current events test & graded the papers most of the kids got 100. Stanly asked me to go to the show with him Sat. Mother & Daddy consented but were going to the country so some other time.

Tuesday November 18 1930
Mother, Daddy & Uncle Gus went to Aunt Lilies hunting. They planned to be back at noon but they weren’t & I just got home in time to turn around to go back. They came home about 5 & Uncle Gus left at 7:00. Mother (on Tody’s ticket) & I went to the lecture course.
“The Hopi Indians” The snake dance was awful but the exibits [sic] were good.

Monday November 17 1930
Tody’s grandfather died.
Stanly asked me to go to lecture course (Pauline’s fault) Had an awful argument with him.
Paulinel & Iren came over in the evening. Danced, talked, etc.
Mary, Mother & Uncle Gus went to the Marathon.

Sunday November 16 1930
Took Tody to S.S. with me & we left early to go to Columbus. Stayed there till about 3:30 & then took the river road home. It sure is beautiful.
B.Y.P.U of course & Stanley asked me to stay to church with him. Uncle Gus was here when I got home.
