Broke my neck getting finishing touches on house before going to train to mee Mary & then it was late. She came in looking grand even after sleeping in a coach. Stopped at bank on way home. At mother’s for dinner. Went up town to see who we could see in afternoon. Mary had to answer our questions constantly & didn’t seem to mind.

Made Kathy a dress for her birthday this afternoon. Had fixed my hair in an upsweep hairdo & it made me sick besides making my head sore.
The Staffords stopped by in the evening & delayed our going to a movie. Wally had passes. Saw “Tennessee Johnson”, story of Andrew Johnson.
I forgot my glasses though & I really had a headached when we got out. Picked up Kathy at mother’s & did I fall in the second we got home!

Up at 7 & baked ice box cookies. Mildred Gorby & her 2 girls came about 8:30 & about 9 we took Kathy to mother’s & picked up Mr. Bibler & Mrs. Brooks & headed for quarterly meeting at W. Mansfield. Our little skip on the house party went very well. Mrs. Engwall was grand again. Home about 5:00 & got ready to go to Upper Sandusky for Young Adult Fellowship Picnic. After starting & coming back for Mary Johnston found out picnic was postponed until next week! But we all went up & served & ate by ourselves & had a grand time.

Wrote out the skit for tomorrow on the house party. Mrs. Gorby, Spring, LeMasters & I will take part. It’s laid as if we were just planning what we were going to say at the meeting.
Cut out a dress for Kathy. Mrs. Moorehouse who is a personal friend of Mrs. Engwall of the Belgian Congo had several of us out for a hamburg fry in Mrs. Engwall’s honor. Then they all went to prayer meeting to hear her but I came home & hoed weeds.
