[2005 note by Trella:]
During the fall Ethel Blake (Blake’s Florist) came to buy a bushel of tomatoes and asked me if I would work part time in their shop. I was thrilled!- But wainted until returning from our trip to Boston before starting.
I noted every step of the operation of the shop and shared it with mother & daddy over supper. She cooked for us and we picked up Kathy & on home.

Mildred Gorby came up to get dope on being Children’s Director for Association but we talked about everything under the sun. Had lunch here & then went to missionary meeting. Mrs. Holloway took Kathy & little boy into nursery. They had apples & ice cream cones! Knocked Kathy off back seat by stopping too quick & Mother happened along to pick her up.
