To Lima by 9:45 to see Allen County Historical Society computer program to manage collections. Ray Schuck cordial and turned me over to John and Anna who showed and copied ‘Nutshell’ for me. On to Paulding for 1:00 meeting with Paulding Historical Society Group to plan Region 1 meeting on March 17th. Learned Genevieve had not invited Melanie Kaufman- the new Region 1 rep & the main reason I went to the meeting. Good thing I was there- Genevieve would have pushed off the total planning on to Paulding Society. However we did get a budget set up, planned site and food. Les Davis, Virginia Paulus were great. Their society has 2 60×100 metal buildings and a volunteer group that works every Tuesday. Royce and Ruby Smith took me to site of Blue Creek log cabin school where grandpa Sheneman taught in 1873 or 74. Also to ‘Junction’ where the Wabash and the Miami area canals met.
Left Smiths at 5:00 and drove through rain half the way home. Had planned to stop to see Gayle Zimmerman but too tired and too late. Home about 8:00 after getting gas and groceries.

Of three options Jack had me adopt two- accept $26,500 discount the $30,000 we wanted by real estate fee of say $1,500 by $2,000 to be paid $5,000 a year to the Heritage Preservation Endowment Fund.
Met Mary at Bob Evans for dinner. Stopped at Nye’s with Huber minutes and membership. Willis in favor of selling Cockshutt models at cost and realizing $25,000 rather than wait 10 years for $45,000.
Took tan dress back to Lohman’’s for credit- it didn’t fit.
Ruth Mosher called- forgot meeting. She told Jack she would do correspondence for him- he brushed her off! Called Kathleen Haldeman to tell her Sandy Davis will be here December 7th.
