Daddy, mother and I went to church this morning. Mrs. Shirk came over and went up with us. Told Mother their home was almost broken up.
Went for a drive over around Mount Vernon & Loudonville & Mansfield. About 150 miles. Home and to bed.

Went home on bus. Wally met me and went to bus station with me.
Bernard Brooks & Rosina came down this evening. We’re sort of planning a weekend trip to the lake. Hope nothing spoils it. Had popcorn and lemonade.

Louis came down with Walt tonight. Went for a walk and watched them play tennis at Indianola courts. Came home and sat in the swing. Louis rather cramped our style.

Note on my desk this morning. Gone to Logan, “Bill”. Morning went fairly smooth. JL Davis wanted some statistics so I made them. Bill came when I was ready to take them up and delayed them. Hope I don’t get in bad with JL.
9:15- My sunburn is peeling. Guess I’ll read Reader’s Digest some more.

Forgot to call Mr. S. last night and when I did this morning he was sick and not going to Columbus. So after negative results at the bus station Daddy and mother took me to Worthington and I took the bus and car. In only a half hour late!
Work sure piled up. And I won’t realize how much until I get into it.
Wally has moved in with Louis and is working four and a half hours a day. We went to see Jolson and Keeler in “Go Into Your Dance” Good.

BY picnic at Upper Sandusky. Bernard Brooks came for us. Rather dumb all around. Talked to Helen Wood for a while.
When we got started home had a flat tire. Fixed it at a filling station. And then about two miles from Rosie’s another- I was driving.
Shot fireworks at Rosina’s and dozed while Bernard Brooks said goodnight.
