Wally down this evening and we walked over to Woodruff to see a room. At $5 a month I think I could have loads of fun.
Sat on the swing & sung. Everything from “A Quarter of Nine” to “Taps.”
Rained. A little cooler after all the heat. We walked down to Brosmer’s in the rain for a Coke and then ate peanuts on the way home.

George had another spell as he calls it yesterday. Bill is taking him to Logan tonight. Probably be there for a week.
Walt down tonight. His grandmother* died Saturday. He and Louis are going to Marion tomorrow to the funeral.
I do believe both is jealous of Louis. This app. Louis is a nice kid but he isn’t Wally.

Got some Haliver Capsules. Louis and I had supper at Liggett’s drugstore. Window shopped and then met Walt and watched him finish eating. Walked down to their rooms. It’s really nice. They put me on the car. I weigh 113 pounds now.

Got sick this morning. The girls said we got off at 12 because of the Elks parade so I thought maybe I could stick it out until then. And then Bill said I didn’t. But I had to come home about 1 anyhow. Managed it on the car.
Heard the parade over the radio. It must have been something.

Came down on the bus this morning left Marion at 6:15 and got to work at about 7:55.
Wally came down this evening and he’d been sick all day. Took him to the drugstore for a dose of castor oil.
Eclipse of the moon tonight. We watched it from the dining room window. Moon was a dull bronze color where it was eclipsed. Wally went home just before it was total.
