Tuesday May 16th 1933
Ye Merrie Play Party.
Washed my hair and Mary Burtch fixed it. About six Louis came over and asked me to go to the party with him but I had promised Helen. All the other kids went to the show. Course H and I got there late- Toasts, stunts etc. We drove around with Melvin after and they came up here.

Monday May 15th 1933
Finished my typing this morning. Helen, Mary, Doris and I went to school in afternoon and then shopping. Helen got me some crystals and Mary and I got her a dansette. Started fixing my memory book this evening. It will be a mess but it’s fun. Turned in the key to the Herald office.

Sunday May 14th 1933
About 20 of us sat up in front at Sunday school with caps and gowns. Gave us roses. Uncle Hen came just in time for sermon. Talked to the Bernard while waiting to go up. Sermon short but I liked it. HW, MB, J. Ziegler up here and took pictures afterwards. Marg. Wanted to see me all day but she didn’t get a chance. Mother’s Day pageant at church.

Saturday May 13th 1933
Cleaned my room good and fixed the four piece suit when it came. Grandma gave me a dollar and Mrs. Alline a picture she painted. Helped decorate M. E. Church for tomorrow. Mother and I went up town in evening. I fixed bows on my prom dress. About 10 Uncle Perry’s came. So to bed.

Friday May 12th 1933
Went to school 1st period with Helen and then we tried to study French. The exam wasn’t so hard but I think I did rotten. Got my breakfast ticket. Mother ordered my bedroom suite. To Mary’s in evening. It’s really pitiful she likes him a lot but I do too. [shorthand]- he brought me. Bob H. too. That made Mary mad.

Thursday May 11th 1933
Mary & I started studying French & were interrupted by the kittens and Helen. They stayed for dinner and I went to shorthand class. From what I gather Walt doesn’t [shorthand] such. [shorthand] person. Mary has asked me down for tomorrow night. Helped with favors for M.D. banquet and then ate it. Stayed at Helen’s all night.

Wednesday May 10th 1933
My last day of school usual routine except first up to room 31 for their program. Have to take French exam- that’s all. Sipy dictated letters fast and I think Walt is cute. He wrote me a note this morning and started it “Dearest.” Mary Burtch and I went to “Cavalcade.” She told me about Bob’s letter and stayed all night.

Tuesday May 9th 1933
My last 1st period study hall! Got my 50 “Trellar Hemmerly” cards. Made 55 in my last typing test 9 errors. Daddy brought home two little kittens from Bindley’s “Pork and Beans”. As I was getting ready for Junior Guild Louis came but since I was going away he didn’t stay.

Monday May 8th 1933
And the car wouldn’t start and when Daddy started it Mary was late and had worse than hysterics. But Louis still likes us. He is going to the guild picnic with me. Guild meeting at Mary’s tonight. Every time I get a chance to breathe, I type.

Sunday May 7th 1933
Louis brought me his picture. I was so tickled.
Didn’t feel well enough to go to Sunday school but dressed. After dinner Louis came popping over. We addressed commencement invitations and had our lunch in the front room. He went to B.Y. with me and Bernard Brooks and Mary came home with us. Louis too of course. We just messed around. Bernhard left about 9:30 and about 10 he almost made a day of it.
