Saturday July 9th 1932
I’ve done it. My hair was down to my shoulders but it was so flyre [sic] after I washed it that I got a semi-windblown. I feel skinned.

Friday July 8th 1932
Mary went to court with me. Not very impressive. After they called D.R. Hemmerly [Trella’s father] I explained & a man O K’ed them 1 light and that’s all there was. Saw Helen off to Johnstown Pennsylvania at 10:30 and Mary left at 3:30 for a three-week job in the country. When I took her home we saw Bernard Brooks. Had some fun talking and the ice man knew a lot of tricks. Bobbie H. [Bob Haldeman] has been in Cleveland and Elyria for 2 weeks. Home Sunday.

Thursday July 7th 1932
Such a storm. About noon a regular cloudburst and tornado tore down trees and etc. The ruined our planned International Guild picnic to Harrison Smith for a swimming party. Had a fair Time. Mary brought me home but she didn’t get a ticket.

Wednesday July 6th 1932
Got a lot of bargains in A M. Vases and bed sets, creatonne, moile print. Went to Mary’s to get pajama patterns and we decided to “steal” a show. Went to the Ohio about 4 and just walked in. Then got a Coke and I went to Mary’s for supper. She walked home with me and I took her home. At Main and Center got a tag for having only one light. Fri at 9:30 oh well.

Tuesday July 5th 1932
Went down after Mary to go to ball game after supper. We lost to Presbies. Picked Bernard Brooks up on the way home. Came home and got a letter I wrote to Bob Cameron and then he bought me a gallon of gas. Rode around a little but he and Mary fought so it wasn’t much use.

Monday July 4th 1932
Aunt Sylvia’s left right after dinner. I finally found Nita home and we went to the show “Streets of Women” Kay Francis. Came home just as Mary Burtch got here. Took me for a ride and we ate supper on the go. Shot firecrackers and then took her home.

Sunday July 3 1932
Doris & I came home right after S.S. & just before dinner did I begin to get sick- Yes. I got up toward evening but had to miss B.Y.

Saturday July 2 1932
Mary & Wilda went to the first show & then when they came out Doris & I went because they said it was good. “Fast Companions” Rather cute. After show Doris & I got a blue & green ice cream cone respectivley. Did we have fun. Aunt Sylvia came about 6:30 with Iva & Brownie Scott, Nora, Althea, Harry, Hazel & Dad completed the party.I colored the ice cream green. Donald took us for a ride [illegible]

Friday July 1 1932
Went to Intermediate ball game
Went after the girls after dinner. Went to Noras for a little visit. I wanted to have a party for Doris but daddy wouldn’t let me. We walked up to Isaly’s for an ice cream cone & then stopped at Harry & Hazels on the way home.

Thursday June 30 1932
Doris & Wilda went to Harold’s after dinner I went down to Mary’s for a while. THe girls were coming home in the evening but they didn’t.
