[Trella 1993 notes:
Too bad I didn’t write during the time we moved from 425 Ballentine Ave to 229 E. Fairground St. Also Aunt Sylvia, Uncle Perry, Don (Bob), Doris & Wilda Mae moved from Kennedy Court to Hampton Road in Akron right after Bob graduated from Harding.
Two very traumatic experiences- writing this 63 years later I must note that quite often I didn’t make diary entries of the most important events.As if by not recording them-they hadn’t happened.]

Friday May 23 1930
An assembly for the annual staff in which we all gave impromptu speeches.
Tommy & Jessie* over for a chicken dinner in the evening.
Fla. weather till eve and then it rained.

Thursday May 22 1930
Annuals out. Everybody autographing.
G.R. meeting.
Finished group talk.
Lots of company in eve.
Planted Poppies.

Wednesday May 21 1930
My marcel is still in almost perfect.
Helped pack annuals & deliver to Home Rooms.
Over to Ballentine in eve.
Took Bath

Tuesday May 20 1930

Got paint for my room.

Monday May 19 1930
Only 12 more days of school after this.
Mother making me pajamas out of goods she got for [illegible] stand up here & didn’t like it & unbleached muslin.
Terrible Rain

Sunday May 18 1930
S.S. Went to a meeting for teachers of Bible School & then out to Aunt Sylvia’s from there where rest of family was.
B.Y.P.U & back there. Home & study.

Saturday May 17 1930
Doris, Judy, Mary, Wilda, Bud & D went to park for leaves.
Kids left in aft. & I got some paint & painted shelf.
Got pretty creton for the stand.

Friday May 16 1930
Doris came home from school with me.
Jeanette, Tody, Doris, Mary & Wilda here. Bob came later. Not much fun.
