Sunday November 9 1930
Felt awful all day. Was in bed. Pauline came over & brought me a book & a hankie that Vera Mae Smith had brought to S.S. for me.
Couldn’t go to B.Y.

Saturday November 8 1930
Helped with the housework in A.M. Had terrible headache but up up town to sent money for J.Y. magazine.

Friday November 7 1930
Found out that the hankie received Nov. 5 was from his sister (Doris Fogelson)

Wednesday November 5 1930
Geometry getting worse.
Shocked when Stanley Fogelson gave me a hankie. Said it was for my birthday & why hadn’t I told him.

Tuesday November 4 1930
Doris sent me a collar & cuff. Wore them on my black dress.
After a hectic day of lessons, (hadn’t studied) the kids came here for class meeting. They showered me (literally) with hankies. I never saw so many pretty ones. 13 in all.
Jessie helped mother & daddy freeze ice cream. The girls seemed to like it.

Monday November 3 1930
15 years old. Hurrah!
Tody & I went to the lecture course.
“The Cotters Saturday Night”
It was Scotch in Scotch brogue and delierously [sic] funny.
Walked home alone in the cold. It’s a gyp.

Uncle Johns woke us up early.
Mother got me a pr. of stockings for birthday. Went over to Tody’s after supper & puffed her piccolo. Wish I had one.
