Saturday December 20 1930
Worked in morning and brought Xmas tree home & decorated it.
[written by Eutoka Welch (Tody)]:To folks. I’m here again. I went up town this P.M. with Mae & forgot several things, so Trella & I went up town. I came home with Trella & we suffed dates & dipped animal crackers. I love you— I’m going to stay all night.

Friday December 19 1930
After the G.R. Xmas assembly which was good with the Glee Club’s help Mr. Huffman gave us a test – the contents “Define & Illustrate Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays & much needed rest”. Then he read a good story.
Sang Xmas carols in Latin & had 5 periods in P.M. & 3 in A.M. and got out at 3:00.

Thursday December 18 1930
Mr. Bain gave us all about 50 rebuttal cards. I made up work in Geom & flunked it.
Silas Marner was in motion pictures. Followed the story wonderfully. It really was good.

Wednesday December 17 1930
Tody & I went over to see Mr. Baker last night. Loaded off against Harding, kids & teachers.
Mr. bain had a meeting of debate kids & I’m 2nd affirmative. Imagine-I can’t argue Independance.
Got an American sub from Miss Green.

Tuesday December 16 1930
Bank Day—
I happened to studyGeom. & we had a test & I was supposed to get 97 & Maxine Taylor only gave me 89. I’m mad.
Mr. Bain said I was 3d neg. Speaker for Soph team.

Monday December 15 1930
This is the last week of school this year.
Finished my Xmas shopping.

Sunday December 14 1930
Pauline & Tody came over & we made chocolate drops & dipped animal crackers. Ruby & her kids here too. We wrapped Xmas presents.
Took Pauline & Tody to B.Y. Bernard led discussion on Madonna pictures.

Saturday December 13 1930
Felt better today.
Mother & I shopped in P.M. & daddy took Mary & I up in evening. Spent lots of money & then bought me one- a pair of Hollywood hose.

Friday December 12 1930
Got up awful sick & tried to got to school but I didn’t. Too sick to even read, and that’s pretty bad. Tody came over with my Caesar book (& talk)

G.R. meeting. Subject was habits. Not much discussion.
