To shop at 11:00 to pick up materials for talk to Senior Citizens at Kennedy Center. All seemed to be impressed. Sold $28 of things.

Back to shop until 4:00.

Monday, December 7, 1981
Creators Guild Class at shop – 10 people – Chris Kennedy helped. Most of them di straw wreath with grapevine trim. Finished by 9 & I dashed to Palace & caught last 45 minutes of “Mexico” travel film.

Sunday, December 6, 1981
Prepared at typical “Sunday Dinner” for Dave’s birthday celebration (which is on Dec 19 he’ll be 14) – Gave him a wrist radio (He had expressed interest yesterday when he saw them at the shop.) Mary brought Andy Neiderman out for dinner. David really enjoys being with him.

Stopped at shop & I got centerpiece for Rita – I really appreciate her giving Dave a home – They were on an anniversary get away weekend – married 5 yrs! Dave & I had supper at Frisch’s in Fairborn. Deckers not home. On to Columbus to meet David for Jazz Arts Concert at Batelle Hall – Vaughn played great. Got speeding ticket 65 mph on way home $48 fine.

Saturday, December 5, 1981
Spent most of day home with Dave. Howard perturbed about gun. Dave assured him he would only shoot target. In to shop.

Took Dave to see Fred Waring & his new Pennsylvanians. Took a while to earn his enthusiasm but he finally capitulated. They were tremendous.

Friday, December 4, 1981
To near Ada with car full of materials to give talk to Hardin Northern Garden Club. At same time Mary, Mother & Ken went to Fairborn to pick up Dave. Picked up Gail Zimmerman & took her with me to meeting – good buffet – 6 kinds of meats.

Terrible lighting at Red Fox but group enthusiastic. To a baazar at Ohio Northern after & visited with Faye. Thy showed me the large chest that the Felty’s – (Margaret Hemmerly – sister of John COnrad) brought from Germany. Borrowed “Sacquajawea” from them to read.

Dave at Mary’s when I got back at 6. She gave him her BB gun – Out here for evening.
