Monday May 9 1938
Down on bus – and is it cold- about 42.
Wrote to Mary B. J. They ave moved back to Marion to a farm from what I hear.
Crocheted & so to bed – bath

Sunday May 8 1938
All over to Grandmas for dinner. Uncle John’s – Aunt May & us. Then over to see our house – the whole gang.
And just after they left Aunt Sylvia, Perry, Doris & Stewart came so we showed it again.
Mary led BY tonight. Home & popcorn.
Nice thundershower this evening.

Saturday May 7 1938
Headache still this morning. But went over to our house about 10:00 & got walls ready & took more paper off kitchen.
After dinner we all went over to paper. I pasted & Daddy put it on. Bedroom.
Finished about 6:00- Floy at our house for supper.
Walt & I went up town. I got pattern for my wedding dress.- Train & bolero. High neck- full bodice.
Then we got wall paper for kitchen. Turnips- carrots- cabbage etc.

Friday May 6 1938
Mary picked up Floy & then came past for me tonight. Up to my room to get the boxes I had packed. Letter from Mary Sheneman- Can’t come to the wedding. Got home about 7:00. Floy went over to Grandma’s to stay all night.
Walt went to his AIB banquet. Home about 9:30.

Thursday May 5 1938
Got up but couldn’t make it so back to bed. Went to work about 10:00 – Stan has been impossible all day. He forgets to tell me things and then bawls me out because I don’t take care of them.
Fanned Mrs. Davis a while this evening.
Finished packing up all the odds and ends I can.
Checked up accounts this evening. Stan insists that I go out of the candy business so my total profit will be around $12.
Crocheted- did nails & to bed.

Wednesday May 4 1938
Didn’t hear my alarm so had to dash off- But got a ride to work. But about 10:30 cramps got me down. Went to rest room and wasn’t able to come home until about 1:30. On street car. Thought I’d never get here. Cramps, the rest of the day and night.

Tuesday May 3 1938
Hot- Hot – about 85°. Bridge club tonight at Clara Bickles out in the country near Canal Winchester. Such a lovely evening. The drive was so nice. I had fair cards for a change. My score of 1710 was better that the 210 I made two weeks ago.
Home & couldn’t go to sleep. Thought I smelled smoke. Got up at read the book Rosina gave me. And back to bed around 1:30.
Stopped at Lazarus tonight and found a piece of lace for my wedding dress. Got 11 yards.

Monday May 2 1938
Helen Wood came down tonight to sew. I crocheted.
Then over to confectionary for a soda & cheese popcorn.
Stan in Logan again today.

Sunday May 1 1938
Walt went to church with BBB while I came home & started dinner. Mary made strawberry short cake & I made spanish rice, spinach cottage cheese & pineapple salad- tea.
Mary & the boys played Ball in the fairground. Rosina and I went to our house but couldn’t get in. Messed around. Had cinnamon toast & apricots for supper. Went to BY but I was so worn out that when Walt started criticizing me I broke down & we walked back home. So tired

Saturday April 30 1938
Mary & I went to our house about 9:00. I washed woodwork while she took paper off kitchen. Back after lunch. Walt cam over and mowed yard.
After supper we went up to Loebs and picked out our furniture. Lounge chair $34.50- stove $87.50, bkfst set $21.75- rug & pad $182.00. Were there from 6:45 to 9:15.
To bed early.
