As are all good American housewives I am saving tin cans for salvage. We wash them, remove label, cut out the ends & step on them to flatten to conserve space.
Kathy has evidently taken this all in for whenever she finds a small box she takes it & steps on it like I do the cans.

Leadership training courses sponsored by Marion County Council of Churches started tonight at Epworth. I’m taking “Ways of Teaching” taught by Dr. E. A. Walker of Presbyterian Synod. Very good- Just sorry that Charlotte Miller is only Jr. teacher taking any course at all. About 15 or maybe 20 enrolled from Trinity.
Mrs. Charlotte Bindley died yesterday. She had been in & out of the hospital for a year. I hope I leave more to mourn for me*.
*[She did – Trinity Baptist Church was filled for her funeral on February 25, 2013]

President of Northern Baptist Convention, Joseph C. Robbins, spoke at Trinity. I baked fancy cookies for the reception that followed. He was a very interesting speaker what with his background of a missionary, etc.

Got a late start to get lunch packed & Kathy bathed & over to mother’s pby 9:30 so Mrs. Patten could pick me up & go to Richwood for the quarterly missionary meeting. Had a great day. Was glad I took Mother up on her offer to keep Kathy.
