Redwings across river as I left.
Got hall cleaned of old paper & things ready to got to David’s.

Gulls, Ducks and Geese on Mad River at Springfield – SO close to Davie – sure wish I could see him.

Got to David’s at 3:50 – Karen in coat ready to go to hospital. Had plenty of food in refrigerator. Have to adjust the “band” on her eye to release fluid trapped behind retina.

David back about 9 just as I got kids to bed. I’m sleeping on the soaf. Guess Karen didn’t like me being more comfortable in Sarah’s bed.

When Ray hung first strip of paper, its wetness loosened the under paper so I had to remove 2 layers in the front hall. Donny helped some but what a mess of we paper. Served them lunch (spaghetti) to keep them working. Called Bob Byrd for help on “Case” & Brochure. He said meet him at shop at 2:30 – suggersted ways to give more impact but wouldn’t re-write for us. I was so tired I could hardly talk.

Took my last Metropolitan Policy to cash. Should get over $2,000. Took income tax info to Holbrook, Culp & Manter.

To see mother – took boards for Ken to cut for bathroom closet. Rested 15 min. on her bed. Then to Turoff’s to meet Jordans for dinner. So tired I couldn’t eat.

Ray finished papering hall but all woodwork a mess.

Ray and Donny Foertsch finished AM installing stool & lavatory [in my bedroom].
Painted hall ceiling PM. I cleaned living room & TV room – everything is covered with dust.

Cecil Gabler out to get suggestions on new offiers for MCHS. Called Harales Harmon & he will set up the Heritage Preservation Fund Trust for us. Meeting April 1.

David called – Karen back to hospital for third time – a bubble back of retina this time. I will go down Wednesday – David seemed distraught. No wonder.
Worked on proof reading genealogy. Did from page 63 to page 124.
The positioning on page has to be corrected.

Up at 7 to be at shop at 8 to meet Terry Zacharias & 2 men & truck from Malos. Loaded Marion Co., 1979 Histories. Then to Marion Warehouse & waited for Dick Dune so we could load 7 skids of bound Marion Sats 1919 through 1973 – some missing. Have paid over $1,000 storage since 1974 – $14 a month. Had Gary Barnhart, John Cottrell, Virgil Hinamon to make unloading into basement easier. Wayne at Center putting up ceiling in kitchen.

Then picked up Mary & to Mother’s house to go through shed.. Not much left – Anderson boys carried off most of Daddy’s tools. Lots of dirt. Lloyd Clark stopped by to say he’ll take mother’s bed – $50. My springs & mattress. Home for lunch – then Mary & Ken out & we went to Mansfield to look for wallpaper. Bought innocuous pattern at Sears $101 – Dinner at Bob Evans.

Went through box of pictures found in garage from Roy & Zella Hemmerly*. Mostly Zelda family – the Owens – but found a list of daddy’s family – full names & birth dates! Letter from Aunt Sulvia to Roy in 1906.

[*Roy was Ray Hemmerly’s older brother who lived near Patterson Ohio]
