Mary called that Mount girl can’t stay with mother while wshe’s gone. Howard put up shelves in bathroom closet and I was able to put all linens from former hall closet in it and still have room for towels and blankets. Getting “old” bedroom gradually sorted out & places found for all the things pushed in there during remodeling.

Worked on “Prospectus” but wonder why if Bob Byrd will do it.

In at 2:30 to Styling Salon for Perm – Body only on largest rollers $25. Just finished by 5:00 to meet Jordans & Heckers at Turoff’s. Picked up Richard Bryson’s notes for Fund Raising drive – Extensive!!

To Mary’s to re-type minutes of Feb Board Meeting & Pres. report for MCHS. Maxine Marshall at Board meeting to explain sale of book extracted from Courthouse Records – Invested the $163 in reupholstery fund that I have raised. If we sell our 50 will net $430. Whirlpool will give us Range & Ref – had trouble keeping Wayne from putting a cabinet in front of the sink.

Monday, March 15, 1982
Steel wooled the chest Kenny gave me (I spotted it in his garage before he & Mary married). Brought it up and put some of the Hemmerly pictures & letters.

To Mary’s at 12 with ham salad David sent to Mother. Then Mary & I to 229 – Bob Litzenberg picked up a van load of trash. Mary & I cleaned garage. Bob had fixed the roof but lots of stuff wet. Ray Foertsch in & brough bill for my remodelling $1055 – Bill for Society $1,683.

Brought things down from upstairs & discussed having Helen Romine take everything for a price. Home about 4 after stopping at shop to do some copying. Everyone more cordial that usual & concerned for Karen. To library & got books on selling “junk.”

Sunday, March 14, 1982
Kingfisher on river high 55 sunny AM.
Cleaned bedroom of gritty dust from remodelling. Worked out shelves for bathroom. Will have to ask Ken to cut them again. But I get so tired. Got some things moved back in bedroom.

The bruises on my arm infuriate me. For David to punish me for Sarah’s disrespect is reprehensible.

Proofed first pages of Genealogy that were here when I got home. But Defiance & 4 other counties in NW Ohio flooded so may wait a day to send it.

Howard glad to see me back. Called Mary & arranged to work on Garage tomorrow at 12:00. Bob Litzenberg will be there to haul trash at 1:00.

Friday, March 12, 1982
Up at 6:30 to get Sarah on bus at 7:20. Karen called to be sure she was ready. Miserable roomate on oxygen with a noisy family.

Still recovering from taking paper off Tues so haven’t been doing much except meals, dishes, beds & watching kids. They played outdoors some. Sunny & up to 67 – when David came home he raked leaves and cleaned patio. Then back to hospital to spend evening with Karen.

Saturday, March 13, 1982
Sarah to market with David. I didn’t wake up until 10 – cleaned my car on inside – Josh kept telling me where Daddy kept the hose to clean the outside.

David brought Karen home about 1. Had the spinach & beef tips with sausage but David thought we needed soup so of course then no one at the spinach & beef tips! I just can’t do anything right. He had headache so slept until 2:15 & then he & Sarah back to market.

Boys to basement to play so Karen could rest so I swept a little. Then so nice out that we went out & I cleaned the brick setps to basement of leaves & swept patio. Fun to be working out. Hope I don’g get bawled out for it. David called to say he got good buy on rib eye steaks at $1.75 pound. So had everything ready to leave after we ate. Six at their kitchen table is crowded & I sat by Sarah so everyone could have their regular places. Her remarks about being crowded so I finally gave up trying to eat & got up & left. Home at 10:30 – Discovered I-71 to 315 to 23!!

Thursday, March 11, 1982
Slept until 9 when Steve White called about Hildreth m/s. Told him some of the corrections & he said no problem, Will give me another proof before brown lines.

David took most of day off from Terminal to be with Karen for the operation. Home for a while before leaving at 9:00 to play for a convention dance.

Took kids for a walk in the neighborhood. Saw robins.
