Very few birds at feeder this AM
Sis [Autumn Bills] in & plenty busy. June Keener started work for showroom. Grady called saying he didn’t have In & Out order figures & I know they were in his envelope so did them again.
Stopped at Mother’s – she complained of being sleepy. Swept her kitchen & bathroom. Kathi, kids & I ate at “Wendy’s”. Davy put “to” names on his valentines inside & didn’t sign them. To El Dorado meeting. Well received. Bed at 12:15.

Temp 55 & snow melting
Fred Landes – Salesman in – very unsteady.
Mille Watts called saying she can’t come to work. Too busy babysitting grandchildren. Spent morning refuting State of Ohio claim that Hemmerly’s Flowers & Gifts, Inc. was delinquent on personal property tax for 1974 – and right on the card it showed our incorporation date June 18, 1975!
To Kathi’s for pizza for supper & then to Executive Park for El Dorado Club meeting to give wildflower talk – no meeting. It’s tomorrow night! – But still didn’t go to Altrusa. Came home & had opocorn & read Data Processing for Small Business.

Interviewed June Keener for Isabelle’s job – she wasn’t too enthusiastic.
Staff dinner at Gateway Smorgasbord – 14 out of 16 employees there. Gave hi lites of FX Convention & FTD Workshop & outlined policies for Valentines Day.
Picked up Kristi & Davy & took them to Mary’s as I hadn’t seen them since Sunday – Feb 1 – this was before the dinner.
Sorted slides to get ready for wildflower talk tomorrow for El Dorado Club.

“Puttered” around all day – finally got bags unpacked from trip. Sure need to organize things. Watched birds – 10 cardinals & juncos – 6 or 8 song sparrows – 2 jays – chickadees – nuthatches – titmice & a racoon eating Autumn Olive berries. Bob Clark out to tell me they bought a condominium ($36,000) & will be moving March 15.
Sorted checks to get tax deductible items – watched Olympics. Bed 12:30.

Conference with Ralph Felgar of OSUM about setting up Flower Arranging Classes for Continuuing Education Courses. To Ridgedale High School to talk to Home Ec Class (Bender – Crawford, one of my brides) is teaching on wedding flowers. Stopped at Mother’s & gave her the bouquet I had along to show. She gave me daddy’s 4 Vol. set of L.H. Bailey’s Hortoculture Encyclopedia. Took 3 rolls black & white film to Cliff Mitchell for processing. His new project is making his own frames. Letter from Marjorie saying her friend Roy is moving to Galion. Watched opening of Olympic Winter Games from Innsbruck, Austria. Mary Emily Brooks – Marjorie’s sister is there.
