Gabrielle in for Spanish. Interview Caroline Weaver & Etta Richardson for Betty’s delivery job. Hired Caroline for delivery & took her out. 20 at Flower arranging class. Last one.

Kathi & kids to Cincinnati & then to Fountain City.
Beautiful day – sunney 65. Planted Daff bulbs, pulled out frozen annuals. Paul & Anita Monnette out to look at roof & we went to Johnston on 30 to cut bittersweet.

Saturday, October 24, 1970
Set up 3 weddings. – serviced 2 – 1 in Richwood. Made all deliveries – Kent did an early one & churchs. But I really worked. Stopped at Kathi’s.

Friday, October 23, 1970
Betty sent home yesterday – hemorrhaging. Went to hospital at 4 & had emergency D&C at 6 today, & Kent will be off tomorrow. Had promised him weeks ago. Took Mother on delivery with me.

Thursday, October 22, 1970
Wrote Howard letting him [know] I was having a lifetime lease drawn up for him for the east corner of Terradise. Shopped – stopped at Kathi’s – popcorn.

Kenneth Kilbury out to start refinishing Gov. Winthrop desk which I’ve moved to hall. Very busy at shop – Maggie quit. I took LaRue delivery. Took Sally Flowers to Altrusa Dinner.

Monday, October 19, 1970
Discussed Maggie’s going up to Oilers to see about a job with rest of my gang. To Kathi’s for supper. Bard Parker Richardson there. Now lives in Brooklyn, NY. She brought me home.

Sunday, October 18, 1970
Drive to Logan Co. with Kathi & kids & Mother. Kathi bored with Ohio & family history. Mowed lawn. Greens stopped & he opened radiator cap & helped start VW. Put beech leaves in glycerine.

Saturday, October 17, 1970
Very busy day. New type procession at St. Marys – whole family. Headache – home at 6 & to bed. VW wouldn’t turn over & Maggie came out for me. Says it may be her or Kent at Hemmerly’s.
